Lightning over Rio Rancho, New Mexico
This shot was taken looking out a rain soaked window from the second story of my house. The wet window made for a Monet affect on the lightning.

This photo was taken with the Lightning Trigger east of Cimarron, New Mexico, the night before my son was born. I was working with two camera bodies at the time and the lightning strikes were flashing constantly. My poor husband was changing film as fast as he could and he was barely keeping up. This kind of storm would have been perfect for a digital camera.

Lightning Trigger
Lightning Trigger. This little device can leave you speechless. I bought this years ago when I was still capturing scenes like this on film. Anticipation built while I waited for the processed film to return. When you got a shot like this one, you were hooked. This photo was taken during a Northern New Mexico thunderstorm near Cimarron.
I have since laid my film cameras to rest and I'm now shooting digital. Yes, this does work with digital cameras. All you need to do is purchase the right cable from Stepping Stone Products, LLC, 28665 Road P8, Dolores, CO 81323 or call 1-800-452-4167.
I love this little gadget and I hope to get more amazing lightning shots in the future.

This was a lightning strike I took in Cimarron, New Mexico. Daytime lightning photography made this picture possible. I used the Lightning Trigger, located at this link: http://www.lightningtrigger.com
In New Mexico you can find red chile ristras hanging just about anywhere in the fall. I made this from a picture of a ristra. Doesn't it make you want some enchiladas with red sauce?
